Here we go. Mega MAGA Mess is coming. Is SS, MediCare etc gone... soon?
A decision straight ot of the pages of Project 2025 and President elect Trump has been echoing the need to rein in "wasteful federal spending"in his campaign. From low-income monthly food benefits to Medicare; there will be significant spending cuts and major changes. Trump has boxed himself into a corner as he promised big tax cuts and reduce the deficits. Now that he tapped in Elon and Vivek, who are tasked with government wide cost cutting mission, the cuts in social spending is inevitable. The reduced federal contributions would affect millions of working class Americans who depend on these services. In Trump's mind, reduced federal spending will lower inflation.That's too simplistic just like how he define tariff. -

Trump has got what he wants from the voters. A get out of jail free card. More opportunities to bilk taxpayers. If you think he's not going to throw some of the people who voted for him under a bus, you are delusional. Appointing a recovering heroin addict as his Health czar, what could go wrong? -

Imposing tariffs generates tax revenue. Cutting taxes and regulations stimulates the economy and increases tax revenue. The US does not have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. -

RETIREMENT VISA
Trying to book an appointment for visa renewal, The last couple of years were a joy - apply online for an appointment, prepare all the docs. Check in and 30 minutes later all done and dusted. This year with the introduction of an e-visa I thought it couldn't be better, WRONG! The e-visa does not support a retirement visa application. No appointments possible. Back to the stress of joining a queue, and waiting 5-6 hours for the visa. Such is progress in a 3rd world country. I'm not surprised some people overstay, if you can get away with it - much less hassle. . -
