Would help to know what the problem is. Hematologists can have various sub-specialties

Blood test shows platlets low and B12 low.   Blood test was done a few weeks afterfirst AZ,   tired sometimes but no other symptoms.    I am 83.  It has been suggested by Doc that I may have cancer of the blood.  I wanted another opinion.

It's just those blood problems are well known among vegetarians.

They may go away if you start eating normally again.

"vitamin B12 and iron status were compromised by a vegetarian diet. Variations in mean corpuscular volume were determined by iron and vitamin B12 status. Lower lymphocyte and platelet count were accompanied by metabolic evidence that indicated vitamin B12 deficiency."

You can get sublingual B12 supplements online from Shoppee or Lazada.

In terms of hematologists I suggest one of the Assoc Professors at Sripat

It seems a bit of a leap to suspwct cancer just from low platlets in someone who is B12 deficient. Just how low were your platlets? What about red blood cells and white blood cells?
