It is also good news that you have access to an isolation facility within police headquarters. The bad news is that your baby decides to arrive while in that isolation facility. Camp Crame, Quezon City (File photo) The Philippine National Police Public Information Office (PNP PIO) reported that a pregnant policewoman who had tested positive for Covid-19 went into labor at the Kiangan isolation facility in Camp Crame, Quezon City. According to Coconuts, here is what may tip the event over into a net positive: Two other Covid patients in the facility, one a PNP doctor and another non-uniformed personnel, were able to rush to the expectant mother’s side and help her deliver a baby boy. The PNP did not name the mother or the two other patients who helped her, but only said that the patrolwoman had been assigned at the Manila Police District Station 9, which is in Malate. Doctors are currently monitoring the condition of both mother and son. PNP Chief Gen Guillermo Eleazar assured full assistance to the patrolwoman and her baby. “We will give assistance to our patrolwoman and to her child, especially since the mother is Covid-infected. Our doctors will do everything toward her speedy recovery, and they will watch the newborn’s condition closely to ensure his health.”
