the 70s wayyyyyyy before my time

now we can all work out Tip's age.

MiG you weren't even an itch in your old dad's overalls in the 70s.

Going by the photo and the apparent age of him there I would say Tip is in his late 40s to about 50

Still in his prime

CB

:o So kind, CB. Ah, and so true, too. Why is it that no matter how old we get we always feel like we're 25?

a man is only as old as the women he feels

Thanks again, CB, for reminding me. I've just been knocked back to 33 yo. Nice to know I'm now much younger than Kerry and only slighlty older than the Klown. :o:D

And from the looks of your pic, CB, I'm most likely older than you but I probably look younger. The benefits of having a "baby" face. :D (So, how many years has that pic been residing in your 'puter?)

Say no more..........

Kan Win - Happy Days to you all. :o

I know you've been waiting for it, and after long searching I found one that is worth posting...one of the countless attempts of bringing the band together again...the keyboarder is no longer in Thailand and the drummer maybe back in July and....well...

for some of you smart <deleted> in the other thread, I have actually put on a stone in the last year :D

Doesn't having that many bags of sugar tied to your belt cause a balance problem? (P.S. Moss, your new arrival looks very sweet, you take good care of her ok, I wish all three of you well)

Back on topic.

Ok, I'll bite......... this is me.

A little earlier that day (twas the day we did the village thing) I managed to cause a little bit of a laugh by trying to limbo dance under the three gates, sis-in-law is the one telling me off, and the only one that didn't get it was the bemused looking farang in the background (poor lad, first time in Isaan and hadn't quite got the hang of sanook, actually he hasn't been back since)

LOL, I love that t-shirt!!!! :o

Believe it or not Bop, I found that T-shirt on the standard road side market stall in Bangkok, close to Pantip Plaza, I've seen all the attempts at humour printed on cloth, but that was the first time I had seen one that caused me to laugh out loud in the street.... it was a 'must have' .... and the sentiment was perfect for the little drinky session after a village wedding.

I don't think that I have worn it since then, and it is probably lying neatly folded at the bottom of a drawer in our extensive wardrobe construction ...... I think I will dig it out and have it framed :o

Hit the big 50 in Feb next year :o where has the time gone?

The photo of me next the Harley was taken about 8 years ago. This one below is when I was still in the travelling troupe in my youth

post-36525-1181182285_thumb.png Life was not kind back then but still I strive to overcome these slight handicaps. People say I have a baby face = ugly and squashed up but still cute :D

This one is post op and I must say there may have been some confusion between what I expected and what the doctor in Bangkok was used to doing. Still I am hoping to feature in Jai Dees personal collection and maybe joining the Simon review, else find myself my own hansum man :D

cheers and hope to see you in CM soon :D

I've heard that Google is working on face recognition software so that anyones picture on the internet could be used to search for their identity.....so....posting your picture would be equivalent to giving out your true identity if your identity was linked to your picture anywhere in the database (passports, driver's licenses, family albums...etc.)...posting a picture could destroy anonymity. Anyone else heard of this and anyone know of any estimates of when this is likely to be perfected?

I don't tell anybody anything. And yet, some chick rang me today to give me a free mastercard; I asked where she got my number and she said that was not her department.

Sandy Denny and Fairport Convention - just downloaded that from Limewire a few weeks ago - beautiful classic song. I ask myself that every time I look in the mirror. :bah:

I thought the corners of the photo looked a bit curled!

Beauty is all on the inside . . . for some. :D

Yes, Jai Dee's infamous and legendary personal collection of the fair sex. Wasn't there a topic earlier on art and a question raised as to whether or not it should be in the hands of private collectors? :o
cheers and hope to see you in CM soon :o

Must look up Thai Pauly while I'm there, too. While you're waiting, enjoy a few of these for me.

Beer Chang? Much as I like our own hefferlump I can't drink Chang - but I am happy to salute you with a Singha.

Thai Pauly has opened up a new restaurant and very busy getting it sorted out. He will be at the party so you can meet up with him then.

The CSIRO in Austalia has been working on this and linking it to passport identification. They work on a system that recognises specic features and if a person comes in via Immigration the system will automatically scan them. The system is under review and will used as part of the anti terrorist strategy. This will load up specific people and compare them to incoming passengers. There is a controversial offshoot to this which would put criminals photos in data banks and use standard security monitors that scan for faces. A positive hit would alert the police. Obvious ramifications are civil liberties and the enormous cost of setting up linked systems. Add in various legal issues and I doubt it will fly.

As for global face recognition? It takes google long enough now to load up an image stored in its databanks to how long will it take if it has to search the billions of faces in data files and photographs taken and then compare them for identification.

Then back in time for the CM TV BBQ (woo hoo) Party On Garth!! Excellent

CB

Who the <deleted> is Garth ? :o

Google UP Wayne's World for more detail but in a nutshell Wayne Campbell (Mike Meyes) and his best friend Garth (Dana Carvey) have a Cable TV segment on Cable which is recorded out of their Chicago basement where Wayne lives with his parents.

post-36525-1181290844_thumb.jpg

The original sketch was on Saturday Night Live and they made the Movies Wayne's World 1 & 2. It is cheesy but funny with some very odd cameos by Alice Cooper (WW1) and Aerosmith (WW2). It has Tia Carrera (pre boob job and porn career). Heather Locklear is also in WW2 as Garths "there is a goddess and her name is Heather" fantasy.

I have the DVDs at home if you are interested in watching them - you will either love it or think <deleted>?

CB

Wayne's world....some of my guy friends just love the movies.

kinda like the Dude Wheres my car movie :o

Much better................Almost made y-fronts fashionable again.

I prefer a thong mesself but it sure does chafe

CB

Wayne's World rules! Never knew that there is a part 2, though...

In WW2 they put on a concert and Aerosmith are the headline act. The Wayne and Cassandra love affair continues.

Check out 70B DVD movie deals around town for a copy.
