  • A tiny minority of people can’t have the vaccine for serious medical reasons. A larger minority of people have personal reasons that are not valid and never will be.

Or rather, for Karenish reasons? I strongly suspect so.

You re allowed in now. Will be a long ASQ, Multiple tests, and mandatory "insurance  covid-19".

A cash cow for selected hotels that will probably remain your only option for many years.

Thanks for a sensible answer

My second time in a year at this ASQ in Sukhumvit. I consider it a 10-day holiday. Peaceful, no noise whatsoever.

Good food, very nice room, excellent staff. One guy went to Apple yesterday to pick up a new computer for me.

I'm staying in a suite for 33k baht. Includes all including two PCRs that don't go deep.

Don't listen to the emotionally immature on this forum. They are more negative than arctic temperatures.

About one hour ago, the Thai Government posted in Facebook about the COE/ASQ/PCR requirement for unvaccinated foreigners. This has not changed from the past and is unlikely to change in the near (6-9 months) future.

Given your time frame , the answer must be ' yes ' , because nothing lasts forever .

Several of my friends have done this. One in a 90k baht luxury pool villa suite. He said the food was horrible. Not all of us can take being locked up for 2 weeks. Especially considering a simple jab would eliminate this issue.

As said before, allow unvaccinated in as long as they complete the requirements we had in September. Plus, get checked on a regular basis. In the end, unless due to medical reasons, there is NO reason not to get the vaccine. None.

Nice positive quip.

There still is this manner here, yet dwindling.

I've done the whole ASQ thing myself, twice in the last six months.

Never found it that undesirable. All good in my camp as well.

Nothing to become terribly angst over.

It is what it is.

Cheers.

The very purpose of this forum is to answer questions from folks seeking accurate information. It is not to foist our personal opinions on them without their solicitation, or tell them how wrong are selfish they are.

I simply answered his question with a positive attitude, something this forum lacks at times. What he does with it is his business, not mine, not yours.

There must be some morbid underlying psychological pathology that causes certain people to feel their opinions have more value than other.

Unvaccinated travellers can enter now. Don’t recall what the current quarantine stay is but you will need to do quarantine in an ASQ location.

There's another far worse forum, named after a hard wood. Moderation? Nah, don't bother.

Your wrong. It is our business. We live in a global society where your actions can and do impact the lives of others. Like refusing the vaccine for no good reason.

There must be some underlying psychological pathology that causes certain people to be so selfish. I want a return to normal. Please.

One reason I avoid it. The mods do a great job here removing misinformation.

Two sides of a coin.

Will your country allow you back in unvaccinated, if you wanted to return or had to return ?

To answer your question, you have to comply with all the restrictions and costs associated with them, then you still have the daily numbers of the infected, I believe 10,000 or so per day, but I would add to that, so if you believe Covid won't affect your health for personal reasons, come on down, not much happening here.

Are we overlooking an even more important question - will any airline allow unvaxxed passengers to board?

If they are health reasons say so, or are you one of the 'chosen ones' ? You may need to show you have been double vaccinated to enter many establishments including airlines and stop over airports.

Man, did you leave yourself open there, or what?

It is, of course, everyone’s right to choose whether to get vaccinated or not. It also every society’s right to impose well reasoned restrictions on those who may be endangering the health of the general population. That could include access to crowded places, transportation, and border crossings. Allowances should be made for those who can’t be vaccinated for legitimate medical reasons. Outside of that I’m not sure what legitimate “personal reasons” would refer to. Maybe they exist, but I can’t think of any.

You can still enter Thailand as an unvaccinated person, just accept the Thai government’s perfect right to require a 14 day quarantine. I am sure it will remain that way for another year or two at least.

They already do - 10 days quarantine.

Actually, that came from my Fox News loving friend in Pattaya. His exact words. I was a bit stunned, but he wants all to get jabbed so his life can go back to the way it was.

Enough said.....

If you were to go back and look at my posts over time, you would notice that the likes/thanks to sad/confused ratio is typically about 7 to 1.

Not to pat myself on the back (there are other posters with similar ratios), rather to show that, actually, the people you and I are discussing are a small minority.

But they are vocal and usually obnoxious, which is why they seem to be large in number. They often start their replies with such nuggets as, Your (sic) wrong! or You are lying.....
