Inderpland
I have a laptop Asus Zenbook UX 305 which runs Win 10. I use a free* driver update program (Driver Booster) and recently it installed a new audio driver (Realtek something) that was very annoying (got a dashboard that wanted all kinds of input) so I deleted it. Now I'm not able to use earphones connected to the supplied jack, only via Bluetooth. Looking at the Device Manager it also looks like there is something missing for earphones. If anyone has any ideas about what I should do then please let me know. * The Driver Booster program is very annoying and I can't get past the "Upgrade to Pro version" spiel so looking for alternatives. lungbing
Isn't there a way to just roll back to previous driver in the device manager?

ballpoint
Earphones come under the same settings as speakers, as they plug into the same jack. Go to your sound settings, select Speakers as your audio output, and increase the volume if it's set too low.
