Canadian Whiskey

Probably the best sippin' whiskey in the world is Canadian (VO, Royal Crown, etc.) But I don't think it's been discovered yet by the Thais, and I haven't seen any in Rimping, or elsewhere.

Does anyone know if and where it can be found in CM? Or if not in CM, in Bangkok?

Thanks.

If you are dying for a shot of CC to sip on, head over to the Tavern on Chiang Mai-Lampoon Road, near TAT. He's got a bottle behind the bar and he can probably tell you where he bought it. I happen to like CC and soda with a twist and have had a few nips out of that bottle. It's the real McCoy.

Last bottle in Thailand! That's a scarry thought. I also seem to remember White Lotus having a bottle of CC on their shelf but that was a long time ago. I'll start looking around. There are three bottle shops that might be able to help you out. One is across from Thai Airways Intl city office. The other is next to the Porn Ping Hotel and the third is down in the night bazaar and has a Chevis sign above the building. Good hunting.

I think that Jack Daniels is the sippin whiskey,,I used to sip a guart or more every day and didnt have no ill effects on me.I think it was the Chevas Regal that got me so screwed up about 2100.finally had to give up the Chevas, makes ya drunk and MD20/20 was a little cheaper.

Good stuff -- on the rocks. Canadian is much better English fashion, i.e., no ice.

Interestingly, all the Canadians I knew drank Rye. And they all carried a jug in their golf bags. So, by number 18, they were all three sheets -- and my double presses came with a smile -- and a payoff. :o

###### Jim I used to just lay where ever I was and "sip" it right out of the jar,,and when younger and working on the 405 freeway thru the San Fernando Valley,I got started on OLD OVERHOLT 100 proof RYE,that sure was some pretty good stuff. after about 2 pints of that and a few beers,ya was ready to got to sleep or fight, and a lot of times it was ,fight, then go to sleep in the jail.,

:o Being young sure was a tough life wasn't it?
