Formalities for Flying Out of Thailand

Hi again,

I've done a lot of googling but haven't been able to find anything reliable on what hurdles I have to jump to exit Thailand after a four week holiday. (eg Antigen test or RT-PCR test or no need to test)

If you can help it'll be much appreciated.

When departing Thailand the requirement for any covid tests is based upon the regulations of the Airline and destination country not Thailand.

For example: flying to the UK with emirates (and many other airlines) a pre-flight PCR test is not required, but an arrival Antigen test is required to be taken on day 2 (if you are vaccinated) - there is also an online ‘travel locator’ form to be filled out within 48 hours of departure.

That probably explains why Thai Airways has no information on its website.

I'm flying back to Australia as a returning resident. I'm not sure I need anything then...

I'll be double vacinated and boostered before I leave.

I was in the UK earlier this month.

You need to check very carefully the rules for the country you are entering.

And the rules for your airline.

For basics, for flying to the UK with Qatar, I needed:

Vaccine passport from Thai authorities

Qatar airline Covid form

PCR test 72 hours before flight

UK location form + and booking post-flight Covid test (rapid)

And then it's another load of hoops (even more hoops!) coming back. Thailand Pass!!!!
