Hi, I've mostly been a lurker on Thai Visa, but I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm planning on doing a CELTA in the autumn and it would suit me to do it in Edinburgh, so I can live with family while I study.

I've found the Randolph School of English and the Basil Paterson School.

Does anyone know anything about either of these or if indeed it does make a difference going to a particular school since they are meant to externally assessed?

Thanks

Jamie

In theory the quality should be the same everywhere.

But the unseen part of the course is the quality of the trainers. On that side, I havent a clue about the schools you mention.

The alternative is to do it in Thailand; the course at IH Bangkok is excellent. You'd probably pay less with the Bangkok tuition and accommodation than you would for the Edinburgh tuition.
