Popular Post Kwasaki
A little pup has been dumped in our Soi through our fence gates. I can't get near it at all it is terrified of people, I guess it has been treated very bad. I tried to offer a bowl of food and it growls like fury so I back off and left the bowl it was hungry and eat it and when I spoke gently and brought some water it left the Food and wouldn't go back to eat and drink unless I left out of sight. What to do don't want it hurt but no-one can get near it, any dog lovers here who understands this little fella can tell me what to do. Popular Post MJCM
^ +1 sorry to hear about your trouble, but agree with @sungod but it could take a long while to gain it's trust. We had the same with a Soi Dog she was very un-trusty of people, it took us at least 3 months before she would even come close. But she was already much older, hopefully it doesn't take that long with a puppy!!

Don't you have other dogs? We just got a new dog (1,5 Months old) and our 1 year+ dog watches over to this new dog like a real guard dog ???? when ever the puppy gets up the "mom" follows

I had thought about taking the little fella over farm but we are not there for long but probably would be the best place if nobody wants it. Better than nowt what don't understand is puppies are usually very friendly and come to you rather than growl softly vicious. Cute little fella looks like s Jack Russell.????

Oke then alternative would be to find a willing person to take the dog. Or is there a dog shelter near you?
Popular Post HAPPYNUFF
We have adopted three dogs that were abandoned by neighbours when they moved (rent must have been due). Each was the usual starving, skinny, mistreated poor thing. Each of them took some time to trust us. Just be patient. Each of ours have now turned into happy, friendly dogs. Excellent guard dogs, but do not chase m/cycles or people. Pity you live so far away, or I would happily take the little bloke off your hands, we are in north east Nakhon Nowhere.. 3
Popular Post THEN
Our best guard dog, came into our garden on similar terms. I guess he was only 4-5 weeks old and super skinny. I wrapped a towel 3x around my left hand and slowly approached him. He did not bite 1 single time, but threatened to bite a lot. Best guard dog out of our 5 dogs, he never jumps any visitors, keeps distance and barks of people he dont know. Even if you cannot give the puppy a perfect life, at least give him/her the chance in your farm. 3

Does the Thai post office send aninimals ???? I pay for it to send to you that's if I could get him to come to me can't understand why a puppy is so hostile.
Popular Post bbko
Last last month my wife took pity on a soi dog near our home with puppies, she would drive the motorbike out every evening and deliver food. One day the 2 puppies were gone and my wife guessed someone came along and rescued them but left the mom. So we ended up adopting the mom, but after 2 viscous fights within 2 weeks with my regular dogs we decided it's best to put her back on the soi. We still gave her food but always setting it out farther and farther from our home. After a week we stopped seeing her. Sometime just helping a soi dog get back on their feet and letting them loose again is help enough.
Popular Post talahtnut
We used to feed the angriest, tattiest, mangiest old soi dog you could ever find. We were terrified when it crept through the gate, but continued feeding it. Soon to become a most lovable part of the family. Named 'Gnasher', and still can eat motor cycles, falang. cats, and burglars. 1
Popular Post HAPPYNUFF
Kwasaki. I checked with the wife re sending your dog. No Post Office doesnt accept live animals. By bus or train from your area to ours would mean going to Bangkok from you, then up to Korat to us. Dogs not permitted on buses we were told. On a train would need to be caged, b ut no guarantee safe transfer at Bangkok. Wife and I love dogs, they keep us poor but happy, have 5 in total. Sorry cant help. Do not look pup in the eyes, he is taking that as a threat and is scared. If you stare at a large dog he takes that as a challenge and may attack. Look away or at his feet when you approach him and talk softly. Do not stare directly at him.
