Daily News reported on the latest developments after authorities in Taipei discovered the biggest haul of heroin in Taiwanese history at the end of November. 

 

Hidden in timber from Thailand was 446.8 kilos of heroin worth 6 billion baht. 

 

Several agencies worked on the case that has resulted in the arrest of two partners in the Khok Yai Company wood export business.

 

Sanya Saijampa, 39, and Bunrot Phumthong, 53, were pictured in balaclavas surrounded by heavily armed commandos. 

 

The drugs were hidden inside the timber at a depot the pair rented in Soi Bongkhot 35 in Klong Luang, Pathum Thani north of the Thai capital Bangkok. 

 

Both have been charged with an international smuggling conspiracy.

 

They admitted being behind the consignment but claimed that they had no knowledge of the drugs.

 

That was the work of a Laotian man behind the export, they said.

 

The authorities don't believe they had no knowledge of what was going on. 

 

Sanya was picked up at a house in Saraburi in central Thailand and Bunrot was arrested in Lat Krabang, Bangkok.

Typical, it wasn't us !!! 446.8 kilos of heroin is quite a lot to know nothing about when they are partners in the Khok Yai Company wood export business, the Laotian man may have arranged the paperwork but who purchased the goods.

So where exactly are they producing almost 1,000 pounds of Heroin? 

For One shipment.

That's not really a mom and pop growing some poppies type of operation, that's an industrial size plantation and refining factory somewhere.
