The announcement was announced on Major Platinum Cineplex's Facebook page today, with the company expressing its happiness at the return of moviegoers to its facilities around the country.

After finishing Covid-19 prevention preparations, major cinemas will reopen its doors on December 24.

After a series of site inspections and agreements with the cinema operator, the National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control was able to reopen the theaters with a variety of easing measures.

Vicha Poolvaraluck, a Thai entertainment magnate, launched Major Cineplex.

In July 2015, the company had its first public screening in Laos, marking the Thai company's second out-of-country branch after its success in Cambodia.

More venues, as well as a cineplex in Pakse, Champasack Province, were eventually opened in Vientiane Capital.

Since then, attending to the movies has been a popular pastime for inhabitants of Vientiane Capital and Pakse, with people of all ages able to see the newest Hollywood blockbusters as well as regional and local films.
