I think an alternative option is too look for the cheapest but best quality breakfast of which there are plenty but just not buffet style. A friend of mine from Belfast likes a good breakfast and he uses Cheap Charlies quite a bit, next to Sutus Court.

Does anyone know if there are any good Sunday brunches being offered in Pattaya? Used to do them a few times a year in Bangkok but some of those have long since stopped. The Hilton on beach road, if they still have it, and the wonderful Mantra in North Pattaya in that swiss chain, about 2,000 THB per person with free flow of wine and beers, not sure if they still have it

I am fully aware of what he was asking for and do not need you to tell me. However, as we had discussed the options as outlined in his original request I chose, with his approval to enlarge the subject in a breakfast oriented direction. Neither him or me require or asked for your needless intervention or comment. You don't go to a 5* buffet to eat eggs and toast. Edited January 15, 2022 by JensenZ 2

Yes experienced this twice in 2020/2021. And not even "a la carte". Just got same boring stuff. Not even variation for eggs. Room price was too tempting (800 incl.) Could have skipped it. On Sat/Sun a meager buffet. Edited January 15, 2022 by KhunBENQ

Hammerite
My question is why anyone would want a BUFFET breakfast? Toast, bacon ,eggs etc left in warm dishes for hours ..yuk!! That's for cheap Charlie's or people who don't care about good food. I prefer to go for a proper English breakfast..FRESHLY COOKED and served with a smile and hot cup of tee or coffee!! Now where is the best venue for this in town?

The large English breakfast served at Cheap Charlies (Soi Buakhao) for 139 baht takes some beating IMHO. 2 bacon, 2 eggs (fried/poached/scrambled), 3 small sausages, black pud, mushrooms, half tomato, beans, fried bread, toast, juice and a mug of tea or coffee. Mrs. MD sometimes accompanies me for a small EB which she also enjoys, but mainly she can get all the food she likes at the food carts in and around Soi Buakhao & Soi LengKee.
