Naked woman found walking along Sukhimvit in Pattaya late last night

Pattaya – Police reported that they caught a completely naked woman, believed to be heavily intoxicated, who was found walking near the highway in Pattaya last night (January 9th).

Forestry officials try to sedate a wounded elephant after road accident in Kanchanaburi

Park rangers from Salak Phra wildlife sanctuary, in Thailand’s western province of Kanchanaburi, have been trying to locate and sedate a wounded elephant, after it was hit by a pickup truck and is believed to have sustained a broken leg on Sunday.

Chicken egg prices will not top 3.44 baht each, farmer group says

Omicron now dominant COVID-19 variant among new cases in Thailand

The Omicron variant is now the dominant COVID-19 strain in Thailand, representing 70.3% of new infections in the week between January 2nd and 8th, with total Omicron cases numbering 5,397, spread over 71 of the country’s 77 provinces.

A senior Thai virologist has dismissed the emergence of a new COVID-19 variant, unofficially dubbed “Deltacron” as reported in Cyprus, noting that it is possible that the RNA of both the Delta and Omicron variants was contaminated in laboratories.

Commerce ministry monitoring sales and prices of ATK kits

SSO Urges Nightlife Workers To Register For Aid Program By Friday

Thailand to procure more COVID-19 test kits and speed up distribution amid new wave

To meet rising domestic demand, Thailand’s Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has instructed the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) to procure more rapid antigen test kits, or ATKs, and for the National Health Security Office (NHSO) to accelerate the distribution of about one million already in stock.

Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health is rolling out four measures to cope with the new wave of COVID-19 infections, especially the Omicron variant, with an emphasis on slowing down the spread of the disease through mass vaccinations, the mass use of antigen tests and maximum self-protection by individuals and businesses, according to Public Health Permanent Secretary Dr. Kiattibhoom Vongrachit.
