I'll try to make a long story short.

Had something on my chest for 10-20 years. Dermatologist did biopsy. Positive for melanoma.

Dermatologist says it needs to be removed and sends me to a surgeon. The surgeon sends me for a CT scan. The CT scan doesn't show any cancer in the lymph nodes, but the surgeon says he will take a biopsy just to be sure. Surgeon said the surgery went well. Now I'm waiting for the results of the lymph node biopsy. If the biopsy is positive, surgeon says I'll need more surgery.

My question is, should I keep going along with the surgeons program, or should I consult with an oncologist?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Given how serious melanoma can be, once the surgeon has finished with you I would definitely consult an oncologist. And preferably one with experience in melanoma. Where in Thailand are you?
