I always use the same starter word, which today turned up zilch letters. Little worrying, but it eliminated 5 letters, and then i just went on to a random word which got rid of another three and then the word choices came down to 2.

Wordle 298 3/6*

????????
????????????????????

That looks a lucky guess on three with only two letters and one position known. I also start with the same word (ADIEU) but I try to be strategic for the second word though it will have O in it.

Try WORD MASTER.

I usually start with a word containing 3 vowels, eg HOUSE, PAUSE followed by one with the other two vowels. I can do it in 3 or 4 goes usually unless left with a choice of say MOUTH, COUTH or YOUTH. Then it is pot luck.

My starter word is irate, but I know many folks use adieu. I did get lucky with my second random word since it eliminated more got me one letter in the right place

Same same but different little bit.
I had only 1 correct letter after my first 2 words but a lucky random word on Line 3 got me out of trouble today.

It is such a stupid fun game, but its cocaine for nerds.

I can't wait for midnight and a new word.

I'm a bit of a chronic insomniac and found myself watching the countdown timer to midnight for the next word the other day

Absolutely! I do the same.  I still like the once a day rule. I appreciate it more.

The last three days I solved it very quickly so that was a bit of a letdown.

Sometimes I will hit a wall and look at a try for several minutes but in those cases it's generally on 5 or 6 and it gets solved.

One morning I forgot all about doing my first-thing-of-every-day Wordle puzzle!

Man, was I angry! But it won’t happen again. She now gives me my phone before giving me anything else…

I only discovered it yesterday.

I start the first 2 lines with ARISE and POUND. That wipes out all the vowels and some of the most common consonants.

I've hit the jackpot in 3 a couple of times.

Its a little addictive and some of us the 'that' kind of personality become easily obsessed with it

I like to have a ‘Y’ in addition to all the vowels in my first 2 lines. Their word the other week had no vowels … instead a couple of Y’s.
