For months US has been calling for diplomatic boycott of Beijing Olympics.  

Saudi Prince is heading to Beijing within days/hours for the Olympics Opening. 

 

Saudi is seeking out opportunities elsewhere.

I wonder if they want to lock in a market for their oil too. China has little appetite to be environmentally responsible, as we see with their building of coal fired power sources.
