The strategy is being launched as a pilot project in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province with a budget of 10 billion baht and will be carried out on a continual basis in other provinces. Among other projects to be organized in honour of His Majesty the King are reforestation, returning elephants to the forests, etc.

In the Saturday programme, the Prime Minister invited all the Thai people to learn a song publicized by the Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister which is expected to be sung simultaneously by all Thais on December 5 this year. The song entitled Father of the Land, or POH KHONG PHAEN DIN (พ่อของแผ่นดิน) was composed by well known senior composers such as Charlie Intharavichit (ชาลี อินทรวิจิตร), Archin Panjaphan (อาจินต์ ปัญจพรรค์), and Manrat Sikranond (แมนรัตน์ ศรีกรานนท์). The song was played for the first time yesterday by TV and radio stations nationwide at 9.00 a.m. It will be continuously publicized through all media to encourage people to learn the song.
