Meet “Pareploy”, former female boxer behind the viral street brawl

A recent incident involving a former female boxer who punched and kicked a man after he allegedly poured a glass of water over her head because she declined his offer to clink glasses, became a social media frenzy in Thailand.

 

“Pareploy Saeaia” recently gave an interview to Thai PBS regarding the incident and showcased her boxing skills. She said she won 40 out of her 50 matches during her time as a boxer.

 

Pareploy revealed that she practiced Thai boxing from the age of 13. Now 24 years old and retired from competitive boxing, she is now a boxing coach, helping other girls and women who are interested in the Thai martial art.

From the video it looked like he was backpedaling. Or maybe she was pulling her punches, since her Facebook audience wouldn't be able to tell the difference. But I wouldn't be the one to say that maybe she just punched and kicked like a girl.

So she's talking about vigilantism and taking the law into her own hands. I'd say she best just shut her trap and be grateful for the added boost to her business the douche-bag gave her. Judging from the video of the beer going over her head he was either a grade-1 douche-bag or the whole thing staged.

She did more than stand up for herself, she was wanting to give it the 'big un' coz of who she is / was.

 

Most professional fighters would walk away from such a situation.

Continue the argument/fight?  He cowardly committed assault & battery on her from behind then walked away, there was no argument or fighting at that point.  If someone did that to you would you just remain in your chair and let them walk away?

You think that really ? I would rather  believe she  gave it some thought then went  outside to bail the  prik! That she has some capability  for sure  gave her the confidence. Would  you  rather congratulate him if his victim had ran crying into the toilet instead? What if he had  poured beer over your head? What would your "preferred"  reaction be?

It dependeds how drunk and fit I was at the moment I got poured beer on my head, and if some cameras close by. 

 

I never start a fight, and I always back out if I can no matter what, but I'm not the guy who experienced much trouble before in my life.

 

I useally read the situation, look for friends of the troublemaker, try to read body language, and back off.

 

I used to work as a security when I was young, and have seen to much carnage and unecessery violence. Bangkok Hilton is the last place I have a wish to visit.

 

You do not know the person who making trouble, no idea of his background and what he is capable to do, and even you think you are on top of the situation, things can change quick in the other direction.

My gf read the poor guy lost his work now because of his action and also the media attention they got. She  become superwoman, he became the looser.

In any other country if a professional or semi professional fighter of any persuasion was involved in an assault that is a very serious offence.  To then go and brag in the media that you had assaulted someone, well probably wouldn't get you locked up but you'd be in a fair bit of trouble.

The guy tried to bully her and she wouldn't have it. So, the guy's bully balls shrank until they were gone in front of the whole Thai nation. I suspect he won't do similar again in a hurry.

One thing for which I give the guy credit...restraint by not retaliating (on her). He certainly could have ended this quick and dropped her like a sack of dirt, but he didn't. Good on him for that. Very unThai-male like...restraining from violence. However, she'd better be on high alert for possible more clandestine retaliation. Now that would be a typical Thai-male tactic!

If you know anything about Muay Thai, I guarantee you he will have a fair few bruises on his body than he did before.
