European Union approves “Thailand Digital Health Pass” for Thai travelers

The European Union (EU) has certified the “Thailand Digital Health Pass”, also called “Mor Prompt” vaccination records, to facilitate residents in Thailand to travel to over 60 countries/territories that are part of the EU Digital COVID Certificate System.

Another oil spill reported at same spot in Gulf of Thailand on Thursday

Star Petroleum Refining (SPRC), the company behind the oil spill in the Gulf of Thailand two weeks ago in January, revealed today (Thursday) that there has been another spill and has asked for 5,000 litres of dispersants from the Pollution Control Department.

Household confidence on spending drops to ‘lowest level on record’: Kasikorn Research Center

An increase of households’ concern driven by the rise of living costs, has pushed Kasikorn Research Center (KResearch)’s Household Economic Condition Index (KR-ECI) down to its lowest level on record, the research center said in a report released on Thursday.

Oil found in water near SPRC seaport at Thailand’s Map Ta Phut after leak

Patches of a thin film of oil were detected this morning (Friday) about three nautical miles in front of the Map Ta Phut seaport of Star Petroleum Refining (SPRC) as fears grow that they may reach Mae Ram Phueng and Laem Roongruang beaches, according to officials at the Pollution Control Department.

Thai Health Ministry to remove COVID-19 from emergency coverage list on March 1

COVID-19 patients will no longer be covered by the Universal Coverage for Emergency Patients (UCEP) scheme from March 1st and will have to pay their own medical bills if they are admitted to private hospitals, according to Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.
