Hi

i am trying to get back to thailand with Thai GF. She has a 15 lb dog and insists on taking in cabin. I think lufthansa is only plane that accepts them but sees they are not flying the route from frankfurt to BKK but rather thai airways took it over as far as i can tell and dont think they allow dogs in cabin. Anyone know a route/carrier where they brought a dog in?  Thanks in advance

My daughter took a large dog and a cat back to UK many years ago at that time all animals go into special cages, and certainly not in the cabin.

I am sure it is the same now.

You need to check what health certificates are needed too.

Dogs may be given something to help them relax, you need to discuss with vet.

Your GF must surely realise that some people are allergic to animals. what does she do if the dog wants to pee, take it to the passenger toilet or open the door and tell it to pee outside ?

You may be outta luck on this one.

I work for Delta and we work our United contract too, and for sure neither accept any pets in cabin on International routes.

Secondly, even if you find an airline that accepts them, they would have to be in a carrier that could fit underneath the seat in front of you. No animal other than a support animal can be loose in the cabin

A 15lb dog is pretty chunky, and that's a long way to be stuffed under a seat

Thats weird you say that about delta cause i keep reading on their site that they do allow pets in cabin internationally as long as flight is under 12 hours. My problem was that they do not fly into thailand.

...but how to make the dog understand the aisle between the seats is  not where his owner usually takes him for a walk  so he can relieve himself naturally. i'm talking about the dog ???? . therefore having a dog in the cabin can have smelly consequences
