You may not need it if you return to Thailand after 1-Apr.   There are plans to eliminate the pre-departure covid test.

Obviously it all depends on your current permission of stay, however as @audaciousnomad mentioned, seems from April 1 no test. 

Good reason to hold off if possible.

Yes (assuming you're fully vaccinated), and even the visa can be obtained on arrival again now.

From what I've read, they want a paper copy, so I'd give them a color photocopy of the signed and stamped vaccination certificate I got from the hospital.

 

I'd imagine that you could print the certificate from the Mor Phrom app as well, but it would be great if someone with firsthand experience could report what they used.

Yes, this seems to be the easiest option at the moment (especially if someone is unvaccinated since they don't require a certificate). Always nice to spend a few days in HCMC or Hanoi.
