White Culture
Thai supremacy has that weird sneer aspect that they seem to have perfected. I don't see it in other cultures. It's a particular way of looking down on something I have not encountered before. One could call it passive-aggressive I suppose. It seems to be almost a perversion of the smile, being a strange facial gesture. -

7-Eleven Introduces Convenient PromptPay QR Code Payments Nationwide
Yes, there are risks associated with mobile apps. There are also risks associated with taking cash from ATM's and carrying it around with you. I take precautions and have never had any issues with either but prefer the convenience of mobile banking. I do acknowledge that technophobes and guys who struggle with technology are probably better off using cash though, if nothing else for peace of mind. And as some have pointed out, guys who struggle with mobile phone usage probably would slow down check out lines attempting to scan QR codes. We can only hope they've mastered coin counting. -

Guys, do you cheat on your Thai wife/girlfriend?
Kidneys don’t recover. If you stop the cause of what’s causing kidney damage then creatinine levels might improve a bit. But unfortunately damage is damage and isn’t reversible. Good that your kidneys still seem in good shape. But kidneys do naturally degrade too with age. So I would still get a creatinine and BUN test every 6 months to be sure. If you can afford it I would also opt for Descovy. It’s only the cost of a short-time and then most of the kidney risk is removed from the equation. As you age it would really be a safer way to go. Truvada is definitely known to be hard on the kidneys. That’s why they keep testing the kidneys with people taking the drug who still appear to have healthy kidneys. Also, I was wrong. The injection still isn’t available yet in Thailand. That’s a shame. -

Keir Starmer's Leadership Faces Challenges as Patience Wears Thin
Starmer gone in 6 months. Starmer gone inside in a week!! The wishful thinking of some people seems to have reached epic proportions. As for the allegations of corruption. Nothing but innuendo, not a fact in sight. -

How to retire in Thailand
They guys I have heard talk about it don't seem to care what other people think at all. When the subject came up they just say it's great and are unwilling to accept any possible negatives, including walking away if I persisted. It's not about convincing other people a small ratty room or crappy building is great. I can give Nirun in Pattaya as an example. With guys getting drunk down at those corner bars. One mention of the living situation and it's all hunky dory with no drawbacks whatsoever (even though everyone knows those rooms suck and that building sucks). -

'Vocally anti-Trump' FBI agent leading probe of Florida assassination attempt:
Is it possible, you misunderstood? The story revolves around this rather shady 3 letter organization and the higher ups that seem to have a axe to grind (allegedly posting anti Trump rhetoric on social media in the past). How the hell does this guy get elevated to this position? Imop -

Thai tax riddle: Elite Visa holders off the hook?
I spoke to someone at TE a couple of days ago. She confirmed that TE were in active discussion with the govt in order to obtain (tax) concessions for TE members. She said that she was not involved in those discussions and had no idea if anything would come of them. i have no idea where this is going to end up, but the fact that, at least one reasonably influential organization is raising issues with the government is ,at the least , encouraging, for all of us . TE members or not.- 1

cb500x insurance in Thailand
Hello, I recently registered my bike with a new frame after the accident a year ago and now I need to get a new insurance, since tokyo marine refused in renewal and roojai seems to not like my age, as it refuses to provide any quotes for me. So where should I search for the new insurance? I thought about getting one from viriyah through checkdi, but I don't know whether I can trust checkdi or not. Thanks in advance for any advice. -
