6 Policemen, Reporters in Tangmo Case Have COVID

NONTHABURI, Feb 3 (TNA) – Four policemen and two reporters tested positive for COVID-19 after their coverage of the death of actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong and about 10 other people were at risk and already quarantined.

 

The case of Tangmo attracted an army of reporters over the past six days. They packed the Muang Nonthaburi police station which handled the case.

"Meanwhile, rescue workers gathered at NBC Boat Club in Muang district of Nonthaburi to retrieve the propeller of the speedboat that Tangmo had boarded before her plunge last Thursday night. Police of the Nonthaburi station lost the propeller in the river near the club last night when they turned on the engine of the speedboat for reenactment but the propeller sank right away. Earlier police detached the propeller from the boat for examination."

The video, of Ms. Patcharaveerapong's body being transported off the river that was leaked was in really poor taste. Partially covered, with her feet dragging was not a good look for the RTP.

How convenient to stall investigation and losing more evidence into depths of the river.

The propeller was recovered right away, and it had already been tested anyway.

 

Covid infections: in Europe the detection rate at peak of Omicron was about 20%. If, say, about 30 policemen and reporters were working on the case, which seems plausible, then 6 infections would be about the expected number.

Could this be a convenient excuse for the case to lose momentum? I read yesterday that one of the people from the boat hadn't been interviewed yet... ????????
