*-* Fire Show, probably Sairee *-* Shark Island (Hin Daeng) from Ao Leuk Heights *-* Sunset over Mae Haad *-* Jansom Bay (2005?) *-*

Anyone got vintage Koh Tao shots from the mid-late 90's? I was too slack before things turned digital! Paradise days.

post-36655-1207143501_thumb.jpg Avin it Koh Phangnan stylee........

Looking at other forums I notice a lot have "pinned" images of their area. I believe this section would be useful for anybody seeking info about the Island

What are your thoughts?

Maybe we could all add our favourite shots?

Perhaps a moderator could consider pinning?

Anyway, here's my 50 cents worth to kick it off.

1)Chaweng Cove 2) Bangrak 3) Wat Pla Leam

Hi "Samuian",

Thank you very much for

First one is the View point on the "Hill"

great, will add your comments on me web-page.

Second one, was in a toilet on Raja Ferry whilst having a pee pee, just before it left with camera in hand. Pee, Pee, first and then that shot. It would have been a shame if I zoomed out of the port hole to take that lonely beach view as it would not represent Koh Samui nor Raja Ferry at all, it could have been taken anywhere……………….!!!!

Well spotted, thank you. :o

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

I was so moved by Samuian's photo blitz that I came home tonight and have dug out a couple of my Haad Yao favourites from over the years:

the view from my 400bt bungalow every morning, Jan-Mar 2006 - you had to be up early (or home late :o ) to get the coconut palm shadow to point to the west (photo composition probably a reflection of how my attention to detail drops out when I'm on the island)....

Nice photos Jose, but I probably would have saved the frog :D

So would I, SBK, but unfortunately we arrived at the crime scene too late to make a difference... :o

Thanks SJ - below is a higher res version of that pic, along with views of Maenam from Bantai.

Colorful Moon halos are almost common here, but Sun Halos are rarer.

So true, but a couple of years ago, one in Bkk around Noon lasted for "infinity", may be 90 Minutes or so!

Here one I cought in Mae Nam years ago... it's a scan, pre-digital!
