Shotgun wedding! Admin chief's son hit as man starts firing with 9 mm gun

Thai Rath reported that Ongkharat police were called to a wedding in Bang Somboon yesterday afternoon after a shooting incident.

 

Hit in the stomach was Ekkaphot "Bird" Charoenrungreuang the son of local administration chief Wichan. 

 

Also injured in the right leg was Arthit Pangsorn.

 

Both were rushed to hospitals.

The shooter was Toomtam,30, who was soon arrested at his house nearby and taken back to the scene.

 

His younger brother Chomsri spoke of a feud involving Bird and his brother.

He said that the pair started fighting with others getting involved to help and try and stop them before his brother pulled out a 9 mm gun. 

 

They were all drunk in the area of a tent used for taking photos at the wedding. 

 

Ongkharak district is in Nakhon Nayok, central Thailand.

Let's not forget, guns allowed to be worn in public places, offices, shops, even schools exists in other countries, along with stupidity.
