Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports to reach passenger target of 45 million

Director of the Suvarnabhumi Airport expresses confidence that the Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports will be able to accommodate 45 million passengers as planned.

Suvarnabhumi Airport Director Serirat Prasutranont (เสรีรัตน์ ประสุตานนท์) discloses that the two airports have provided services to more passengers during this year’s low season, starting from May – August, in comparison to the same period of last year. As for the ban on liquid on board, the director says passengers have gradually accepted the ban and agreed to abide by it.

The director affirms the ban does not make the passengers feel less comfortable and the airports’ baggage retrieval systems has remained unchanged.

As for renovation of the passenger building of the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Mr Serirat says the airport has improved its lightness and ventilation as well as constructed more toilettes. The renovation is expected to be completed at the end of the year.
