They may have had a cup on the way too. From my observation many people have several cups a day. Some shun coffee but swig caffeinated drinks all day.

 

When some start pontificating about drugs they are offended if caffeine is brought up. But statistically it's the most widely used drug on the planet by far.

 

Michael Pollan dedicated an entire book to it. Very interesting reading.
