BANGKOK, March 22 (TNA) – Senator Dr Khunying Porntip Rojanasunan said that the first autopsy on actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong was quite complete and she did not think the late actress was assaulted.

Dr Khunying Porntip who is a former director-general of the Central Institute of Forensic Science said she would report her finding after seeing the body of the actress to her Senate committee on human rights, liberty and consumer protection. She is a member of the panel.

She also said that doctors confirmed Tangmo had a wound in her leg before her death but detectives had yet to confirm if the wound happened before or after her fatal fall from a speedboat.

How could an autopsy possibly tell if she was ‘pushed out’ of the boat or not.

They can’t tell if the wound to the leg was pre or post mortem - if the femoral artery was severed then the actress didn’t have long before bleeding out.

By the time the body was found it was horribly disfigured and swollen, would they be able identify massive blood loss ?? - this could identify pre-or post mortem severance of the upper thigh.

But.. they can’t tell from the post mortem if the actress was pushed out of the boat.

Oh really!! I wonder if the two Burmese lads incarcerated for the Koh Tao murders know this about their "forensic expert"!

The article does not mention her "being pushed out of the boat", it does refer to the observation of evidence of an assault, which a postmortem certainly could reveal, if there was any.

Maybe- Maybe not, but they can tell if she had been drugged to insure compliance in preparation for being presented to a high ranking military official for hanky panky.  Which, I understand, is one theory making the rounds in social media.

I suspect that's why the autopsy is taking weeks...  Drug tests that go beyond the routine.

And what's more, how can the wild-haired doctor in this case rule out assault when they haven't yet determined the timing of the deep cut on the leg, whether it was before or after she went into the water?

The Thai news media channels will be gutted when this story finally ends, then it'll be back to the drivel stream of phone videos of accidents, punch ups, domestic disputes and, the absolute highlight, arguments between vendors, customers and delivery drivers that they serve daily in place of reporting any ACTUAL news, the vast majority of which they can't report on.

"...the results of two autopsies on Tangmo and they were close. There was not a trace of any impact on her head and her teeth were not broken".

That would help her reach her conclusion, so far.

My comment you're responding to was about the deep cut on her leg, and the apparent fact that the timing of that cut -- pre or post going into the water -- has yet to be established.
