Daily News Thai Caption:  Fatalities avoided

 

Daily News carried a report of a collision between a Vios and an Isuzu pick-up in Sakon Nakhon in the NE region of Thailand. 

 

The Vios was turning from the left lane into the right when the pick-up hit it.

 

The Vios exploded into flames but the driver got out alive.

The driver of the Isuzu also lived as both men were taken to hospital.

 

The drivers of two other vehicles that were damaged - a Toyota and a Ford - were uninjured. 

 

The accident happened on the bypass near Sakon Village housing estate.

Turning right from the left lane into on coming traffic ! no doubt a micro sleep or just plain brain failure !

Looking at the damage that was a bad idea.

Look, the '2 deaths per hour' quota has to be met (or exceeded) somehow or the Kingdom risks losing its claim to global hub of road carnage.

 

These folks were just doing their part.
