Popular Post Bert got kinky
Here's a better idea, dig down into your own coffers and pay it out of your own ill gotten gains, rather than preying on the poor and venerable. If only you had used some of the daily donations that you collect to shore up the building rather than your own bank account. He can take the money they found in the dead monks home. At least it goes back to some real use then. If they clean up among themselves, they will probably find 10s of millions lying around in different pot, cans and bags. No need to ask for more. wombat
with the money that keeps being found in monks rooms after they die i would have thought the cost would be covered?
Srikcir
Going to the temple is not mandatory for Buddhists. The temple collapse might actually be karma - temple isn't required. To the extreme might be a sign of reaction to abbot morality or materiality. Setup an area at your home, open 24/7.

I'm sure the Pozi scheme can afford the cost of building it's own temple.

OK, I get the donations method. What's the 'other' way you had in mind Abbot? I suppose the monks could get jobs. Oh wait, that's why most of them are monks already. Nevermind. Garage sale perhaps?

Muhendis
There are over 40,000 temples in Thailand. Most are active while others are in ruins – as is the case of the many structures still standing in the historical parks of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. https://www.planetware.com/thailand/top-rated-temples-in-thailand-tha-1-56.htm#:~:text=There are over 40%2C000 temples, parks of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. For a population whose beliefs begin when they walk in and end when they walk out the temple who cares if one falls down.
