booman
Just a note about aspirated and unaspirated sounds in Thai. Thais have difficulty hearing and therefore writting the difference between a p and b when at the end of a syllable. We've all probably eaten steamed or boiled crap in The Kingdom. Only 150 baht per night Over in Amerigay, if you work in a business that ships items often, there is usually a box to fill in for the method of shipping... it's standard to simply write in "best way"... and of course, there is a HUGE shipping company called "BEST WAY". I'm sure they get a lot of business, unintentionally.
lannarebirth
One of my favorites is the "Inn Come Hotel " in Chiang Rai. It's either bad engrish or an artfully crafted triple entendre.
jasperblubber2005
<_< while renting a house on soi 4 north pattaya, the sign on my gate said "no praking", what made this funny was, three feet away on the same property was a sign saying "no parking", hard to mess it up but they did jasper

Found on Soi 12: Stating the obvious on Soi Eight: Found at KISS Food, Second Road. they want you to buy it here! On the east side of Suk. Got any of that "Seented Oil"? Okay, this one is a t-shirt but still! How do you spell Canada? And I don't know WHAT they're selling at this place! ~WISteve Edited June 17, 2007 by WISteve

Thaddeus
Ghana (accra)road speed sign 24&1/2 mph ? could never get a straight answer as to why Easy ..... it's a conversion from 40kmph into miles (more accurately 24.8548, but that probably wouldn't have fit on the sign) I did see an advert recently in one of my wifes god-awful gossips mags for "The Gland Hotel" ..... could have been worse I suppose. WISteve
A few more. Too many typos to count on the drink menu: They got most of it right on this sign: But not a trash can in sight: One of the BEST NAMES for a bar in Pattaya: Lost to the wrecking ball along Second Road I believe: SUMMER MADNESS? Picture taken on Walking Street on Halloween (November 30th) a few years back: Do you think she's serious about that? ~WISteve Edited June 18, 2007 by WISteve
