Don't worry the Governor of Bangkok received a boot up his <deleted> and will be on Khao San Rd. to ensure no more hanky panky occurs.  The GF says it will be Soi Cowboy next....lol

They like 6-lace-holes down that street, they'll be queuing up.

But isn't water needed to clean everything including viruses? Since when did the water become polluting?

So soon it will be decreed by law that we should take dry showers.????

Nothing like waiting until Songkran is nearly over to issue such an edict.

Buffoonish.

He could have been mentioning this in the weeks leading up to Songkran, but he obviously chose not to as he is reluctant to deliver bad news.

Is there a study that shows water splashing can help spread COVID?

Wouldn't the potential virus particles be so diluted that they most likely would be harmless?

Laying the seed for blaming the post Songkran spike on tourists and foreigners.

Predictable but unfortunately quite  effective with the largely xenophobic Thai populace.

Correct.

Maybe not, but it sure spreads massive irritation, especially when these high powered splash guns hit you on a bike.  Its an idiotic activity, outside of lakes, pools, sea and rivers.  How clean is the water that is often used? I doubt that it is a safe activity health wise. Ban it all

Isn't there a rather big police station at the entrance to Khao San Road !

Yes, but every time they ventured outside someone threw a bucket of water over them!
