Brunei's BruHealth 3.0 will be available on Sunday

On Sunday, May 22, the Ministry of Health (MoH) will release BruHealth version 3.0, which will add new functions to the app.


During yesterday's daily press conference, Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar announced the upgrade.


"BruHealth will be utilised as a digital health app for users to plan healthy living activities (health plan) according to their needs," Dr Mohd Isham stated of the revamp.

 

"BruHealth 3.0 will have an updated user interface (UI), biometric ID or password log in; all-in-one code scanner that can automatically scan QR codes for vaccination certificates, BruHealth QR code in premises, and recovery certificate; and updated help features that will make it easier for users to resolve issues with the app."


"Two new health programmes - BN on the Move and the Check in Challenge – will be launched and used in the near future," he stated of BruHealth 3.0.


Before utilising the updated version, the minister advised users to log into the app on Sunday and update the programme.


In the meantime, the Sultanate reported 262 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, increasing the total number of verified cases in the country to 145,783.

 

According to the minister, 253 cases were found by antigen rapid tests (ART) and nine were found through 341 RT-PCR laboratory tests completed in the previous 24 hours, with no Covid-19 deaths reported.


"There are no instances in Category 5 that require treatment in the intensive care unit, and there are no cases in Category 4 that require respiratory assistance and close monitoring," Dr Mohd Isham added.


There have been 143 instances recovered, increasing the total number of cases recovered to 143,620.

 

In the meanwhile, there are 1,942 current cases, 17 of which are being treated in hospitals and 1,925 of which are being self-isolated.


As of Wednesday, 196 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine had been provided to children aged five to eleven, increasing the total number of first dose vaccines to 32,836 (or 76.5%).


A total of 1,176 second doses of the vaccine were given to children in this age group, bringing the total number of second doses given to 13,058 (30.4%) of the children in this age group.


Meanwhile, 69 percent of citizens and residents of the country have gotten three doses.
