LS24
I have messed up my dates. My last day on my visa except is May 22 (today). I had put it in my calendar as May 26. I'm on Australian passport and have a return flight of 10 June. If I go to Chaeng wattana tomorrow. What will happen to me. Will I be given an option to still extend even though I am now over stay? I'm frantically looking at Covid restrictions for Malaysia and Singapore right now. Can anyone advise on a best strategy for me to get an extension to be in Thailand until my flight in June? cyril sneer
Try and extend another 30 days at immigration, just use weekend as an excuse They'll ask for all the TM30 docs too just to warned!

wn78
Sorry I cannot give a better advice, but can you quickly locate a visa agent and see them this afternoon? Maybe they could do something for you.....of course it will probably cost you dearly. 2

Thanks for the answers, guys. Staying in hotels will not be an issue? Can't believe I was so foolish. Is the immigration at Laksi or Chaeng Wattana? I saw a popup on the immigration web site that it has moved. Can anyone confirm? Edited May 22, 2022 by LS24 added

As your permission to stay expires on a Sunday when immigration is closed, you'll get the extension tomorrow without any issues. Do go tomorrow though to avoid being fined for overstay. You need to go to the satellite office at IT Square Laksi though, not to the main immigration office. 4
DrJack54
Go to immigration Monday. No worries. Edit: posted as Caldera posted. His advice is correct. Note you will be attending it mall Laski for extension.. OP just checked online appointment for Laski. Appears you might be able to book an appointment for Monday. Then, if you want to get it out of the way early so you can do stuff with the rest of your day, you can show up at 730 to get in the queue. They'll start handing them out about 8:15'ish. If you're among the first 20 in the queue, you should be all finished before 10am. Easiest way to get there would be MRT to Bang Sue, then walk upstairs to the SRT(Big red signs with platform 3 on them). I would leave your place at 630am, because it will take an hour to get there with the train stops and transferring at Bang Sue. MRT is one ticket. Then you have to buy another token at Bang Sue for the MRT (26baht). Get off at Lak Si. You'll see the IT Square mall right in front of the train stop. Enter and walk up the escalator to 3rd level. (Lights and shops will be closed because mall doesn't open til 10am). Edited May 22, 2022 by audaciousnomad
LS24
Hmmm, Well no bookings are available for Monday. I will just get there at 7am tomorrow and hope for the best. What happens if I don't get seen tomorrow?

If you go tomorrow you won't get fined, because immigration is closed today and you can't apply for an extension. If you go on Tuesday you would be fined for two days overstay (500 baht per day, so 1000 baht fine), but you would still get the extension without problems. On that note, make sure you get in the queue early then on Monday. There will be a lot of people there because of the weekend. Extra hour or two of lost of sleep is worth 500 baht savings and peace of mind not having an overstay stamp in passport. If you didn't get it done you would pay a 2 day overstay fine (1000 baht) on Tuesday. 2
Popular Post LS24
Just wanted to say thanks to all. Done and dusted this morning. Here are a few things for new players that you may or may not find useful. - At IT Square I saw a sign on the outside of the building with an arrow that took me from the outside carpark level about about a flight of 10 stairs and then a right turn. The next sign had a straight ahead arrow that took me to the first level carpark and then nothing. - The entry to IT Square that I found early in the morning was on external carpark level at the northern end of IT Square. The entrance was just before the Bangkok Bank rows of ATM. If you get to Took La Dee restaurant, you have gone too far. Attached a photo of the entrance. - Gettign there early didn't seem to matter much. Some people who strolled in at about 8am started forming their own line and ignored the seating queue. - I took the TM 7 and a copy of front page of passport. At check documents, I was told to go and get a photocopy of my stamp in the passport and of the departure card, also. I didn't have to get a new queue number,. The officer just told me to go straight back to them when I had the photocopy complete. - All in all it wasn't that painful. Thanks again for the assistance. 4
FridgeMagnet1
OT, but what a weird “Ghost Mall” Lak Si is, perhaps it was thriving once? love the food court downstairs tho, reminds me of when I first starting coming to Thailand before everything became “first world”

LS24
oh and finally, - The temp Immigration is toward the south east end of the building on level 3. - There are photocopying options on either side of the temporary immigration. Price is 2 baht a black and white. page. Also, I have just received this message from Immigration via my email address."Dear MR. Matthijs Engelbeen, As you requested, the booking has been cancelled. Kind regards, " I am not Mr Matthijs. So if you know him, you might like to let him know so he can make other arrangements. I'm not sure how my email got confused with this person's email address. That could depend upon the office where you apply. Most office would process the applications 2 weeks before your permit stay ends. Others a week or less.
