Thai And English Computer Software

Featured Replies

hi from oz,

a question, hopefully soon my wifes daughter will be arriving in oz to live with us after 5 years, is there some sort of software i can get that will allow her to use her native languge on the computer to talk to her friends via the internet instead of english, do i need another keyboard from thailand as obviously their language has more consenants and vowels than english. will this keyboard run on my computer alongside the english version,

have windows xp media edition, large hard drive, lots of memory, and pretty fast cpu

Get her to bring a Thai keyboard, it will just plug in (and it still has English characters too) :o

You can install the Thai language pack, it may even be on your Windows CD, otherwise free download from Microsoft, search on microsoft.com for details of how to install. Hot key to switch languages and mix in the same document.

Most software will handle Thai just fine, certainly IE, MS Office and MSN, although obviously the help will still be in English.
