Pattaya Police patrollers were informed through the radio at around 2 am of 17th June that a couple had been gold-snatched on Sukhumvit Road in North Pattaya and the couple were chasing after the crooks and needed assistance.

When the police caught up with the couple they told them to stand by at the station while they continued on searching for the suspects. About 30 minutes later the police found the suspect thieves in a rented house in Soi Wat Thamsamakhee Temple so escorted them back to the station.

Thongphoon aged 29 and passenger, 18 year old Anuwat who committed the snatching confessed to committing the crime since they needed money to buy drugs.

Mrs. Monpharat Channam-Ang aged 52 and her German husband; 69 year old Mr. Dieter then pointed out the suspects for the police to make further proceedings for snatching the gold necklace.

At the moment the police are questioning the thieves further to see if they are involved in any snatching gang because many known snatchers reside near Wat Thamsamakhee Temple.

Met a Swiss guy day before yesterday, he and his lady were both wearing 3 bath gold chain, saw to local wacthing them, ask him if he could run very fast(with a smile) . Don't think for a big guy he could outrun either of those two that were check him and his lady out. Hope this little Pattaya gold snatching will be a WAKEUP call for ALL
