There is alot to do with the local climate to prevent flooding by make sure narural forrests can be created again, but that a bit far fetched when we know the old forrests is now rubber tree, durian, palm oil and other agriculture fields. Big mountains areas have been deforrested as well for tourism, windmill parks and agriculture purposes.

Also saving more wetland, not only forrests. So many things we exploit and ruin in this world that have an important role for the local ecosystem.

If you add every local stuff, then you have it as a global phenomenon right? 
 

Not so hard to understand what we do locally also will have consequences globally? And every little thing that add up on the negative side, will make huge avelanges when we also have removed naturally catalysts that could help us.

The Ping River was actually flowing ten days back, after that heavy rain storm plastered north Thailand. It had been a ditch with stagnant water for a year. Not enough rain, so reservoirs closed catching as much as they can to save for irrigation. Been like that for over two years now BTW.

Solar power and wind I doubt is the future. 

Till they invent working nuclear fusion, the small, portable nuclear power plants are looking very promising.

The 1950s is probably about the time that world population started increasing dramatically. More people= more demand= more consumption= more need to make things= higher fossil fuel use.

Ever seen Snowpiercer where to combat global warming the governments of the world have dumped a cooling agent called CW-7 into the atmosphere, only to have the plan backfire and deep-freeze the entire planet.

Ive been waiting for a bit of this global warming in England, they've been promising warming since the 1980s when tins of Lynx spray on deodorant was going make us melt, yet here I am in 2023 freezing my nuts off as it costs too much to put the heating on!

 

Knew they should never have fixed the hole in the Ozone layer (do some research on the ozone layer claim, what an absolute load of <deleted> that one was i.e. few British blokes go to Antartica, and come up with a wonderous story of impending disaster and it's believed)
