There's no provision or facilities for preferential segregation in Thai prisons, regardless of affluence.   There are punishment solitary cells but no prisoner would ever request to be confined in the conditions of one of those, even if they had that choice.

Well, here we have an example of justice being served in Thailand, and against those we usually expect to be Teflon coated. Fair dos... 

That might put fear into similar sadists in positions of power! 

A special nod to the guy who released the video clip...but for him, they would still be killing without retribution..... I wonder who suffered at their hands in the past!

They are in prison and have been since their arrests and they have not been released on bail.

Quite so, I was generalizing, I'm sure each state has its own laws on this. But life without parole does actually mean what it says in the USA. In Thailand it could mean anything?

Life sentences in Thailand mean life and  do not allow for the prospect of parole.

One hopes the guy who released the video is safe and secure from retribution of the BIB

I believe in "normal" prisons all over the world nobody want to be in a solitary cell, but in Thailand they probably have special cells for these kind of prisoners, as the inmates will show no mercy on police officers like these .... and in Thailand everything is possible if you have money.. Don't think they are in the normal cells between the other criminals

Being a model prisoner will get additional time reduction

In total her Life conviction resulted in her serving 9 years behind bars, and she has been released with some supervision restrictions. Has to stay at her residence of record, report to the local police. No international travel (Thank god). Don't know how long these are in place for, and don't care. That's why she's an ex.

Don't know if the nature of the crime goes into the calculation, or of course being rich and famous like Joe Ferrari

No, they don't.  All prisoners in their prison  are confined in 20-30 person rooms after the nightly lockup.   Thai prisons are not known for retaliatory violence towards other inmates.

Obviously you have not spent any time in a Thai prison and cannot, therefore, know anything about them, in particular, the prison they are in.   

 

At 6am prisoners are removed from their accommodation (which is all multiple person accommodation) and all prisoners mix freely in the yards or the work facilities.   There are no special cells, except solitary punishment cells, and, in the late afternoons, they are all returned to those 20-30 person locked quarters for the night, regardless of their offences.

No, that's not "the end of the story", Joe Ferrari is not a fugitive, he is in prison serving the sentence that, he has stated, he will not appeal.
