Jomtien Beach -Today, June 22nd, 2022, Pattaya Police along with tourist police held a training session on Jomtien Beach specifically around dealing with armed, drunk, and aggressive foreign tourists.

The incident, which was a simulation and used all volunteers, including foreign volunteer actors as the victim and suspect, took place around mid-afternoon on Jomtien Beach near a smart safety emergency booth.

The training was supervised by Pattaya City Police Chief Kunlachart Kunllachai.

Officers participating in the training were told they would be involved in a training exercise with actors but were not told what the scenario would be. Nearby beach goers and bystanders were informed by volunteers the incident was a training and not an actual serious problem.

Heavens. The amount of Thais running around with illegal guns and they train for a tourist with a gun ? The amount of gun crime by foreign tourists is probably less than 99.999% of Thais. Pure xenopho

Reminds me of Aikido.

Useless techniques that can't be used in real-life situations.

Geeze, when I arrived in Thailand back in 2000, Pattaya police station would close at midnight, all the cops going home to bed, not a cop to be seen until the next day.

It was funny, I'd get on my motorbike after a night on the town and start to strap on my helmet, the gf saying not to worry putting my helmet on as it was after midnight.

Sadly, some, very few of the tourists these days are just angry, horrible people. I regularly see muscle guys on steroids, just looking for trouble.

Good luck to the cops trying to control these out of control freaks.

This would have to be the funniest thing I've seen on here in awhile. They even flew in a professional tattooed farang for the training. Can't wait for the bola throwing training session. Stay down white devil, stay down!

The only angry foreign tourists are Indians who have had their gold chains pilfered by thieving ladyboys.....maybe that's who they should go after!

It looks like you guys never been in a bar fight. The drunk's are the easiest ones to handle. And by the way, I am sure your leading picture is going to do great things for tourism.

I don't know about you. What do you think?

But about controlling the "muscle guys on steroids" you mentioned.

I think the police should give up on their "fishing rods" (or whatever it is they use on the picture), and switch to tasers to control these freaks...

Modified Tasers so they can increase the "voltage" limit as they see fit. Aka: with no limit... All these muscles may be quite resistant ????

Would be much more efficient.

Now I'm wondering what their steroid muscles would smell like after 10 seconds of continuous unloading of the maximum charge + the additional charge thanks to the modified taser... ????????

Thanks for your comment, it's not often I read from people who knew Thailand in 2000.

PM me if you want ???????? (I have no muscle, only fat, so no worry)

Thailand..! your discrimination is showing again, of course Thai men don't get aggressively drunk and want to fight. I try to understand Thai people and I've been married to a wonderful Thai lady for 50 years now and have been coming here now since 1966,however when i read articles like this it makes my blood boil.

Important work, to subdue the inferior breed. Us outsiders are so problematic. Very little native crime here.

A poster mentioned TASERS. ...

Now there's a thought BiB with taser...I'm wet.

I obviously don't get out enough.

Thais would never fight and use weapons against each other. Everyone knows that.

You don't understand.

It is a kind of commercial to ask farangs not to come to the country.

Would that be 1,000 or 2,000 more bomb detectors you require?

While they are training on Jomtien beach, they could also do a bit of jogging and control the beach nightmare created every day by hundreds of vendors (and legal restaurants) at the end of Jomtien beach, Najomtien location. It becomes worse week after week, quite impossible to even walk on pavement, traffic jams while some are double parking on a narrow road, awful seat and equipment storage along the road, without speaking about the state of the sand the morning after......

... because armed and violent drunks are often to be seen lying on their back in smart casual...
