Quite meaningless. From 22 April 2013 it was about 3 and a half years before the rate was near 44 again.

Tell us what the average rate of exchange was between 22 April 2013 and the brexit vote.

Then tell us what the average rate of exchange was between the brexit vote and today.

Of course you are perfectly free to believe they are the same, doesn't make it fact.

My point was that the Pound/Baht rates historically fluctuates by large amounts and for various reasons .

The Baht was one of the best performing currencies at one stage  and the Pound was over valued before......................wait, we really need to get back on topic

The problem with that system is that highly populated inner cities would then have a controlling stake in politics and the sparsely populated Countryside living people would have little or no say in the elections and the Political parties would concentrate on getting the city votes and neglecting the sparsely populated areas .

Political parties would then just have to get the London/Cities vote to win the election .

Give everything to the cities and neglect the countryside and win the election .

That is the reason why the U.K has the current system , because it gives people living in sparsely populated areas a say in elections

Can you explain why a country dweller's vote is worth less than a city dweller's vote under a PR based voting system?

And the other one doesn't? How about the illegal invasion of Iraq for starters?

As I remember it, Tories were 100% in favour of the invasion, whereas all Lib Dem MPs and a third of Labour MPs voted against.

Why would it take longer to inspect a UK passport , rather than a UK passport with E.U written on the front of it

Do keep up, UK passports are now stamped, maybe you think reading and stamping can be done in the same time.

As well as the queue I was a good few minutes at Vienna border control a few weeks ago as she checked through my passport, checked the connecting flights before stamping the passport. The EU citizens were virtually walking through their gates.

It takes a lot longer than 1 second, but however long it takes, it’s a procedure that only became necessary due to Brexit.

Had the British population had known that would have to get a stamp in their passport when entering France , they may have voted to Remain in the E.U ?

Maybe the Remainers should have gotton a big red bus with the words written on the side

"Don't get a French stamp in your Passport, Vote Remain " ?

‘COVID checking’.

What on earth are you on about?

The delays in entering France have been caused by Covid status checking at PP control  , my French friend who works for Eurostar has told me that everyone who enters France needs to show proof of full vaccinations and boosters , what vaccine they had and when  they had it done or PCR tests or whatever the current requirements are .

This takes much more time than just stamping passports with an entry stamp and is the cause of delays

Rubbish, there will always be queues, only the depth will vary. People voted to  queue up and have their passports stamped.

When I disembarked at Vienna on my way back to Thailand a few weeks ago, had to queue up and get passport stamped, no longer able to use the fast lanes for EU passports.

This weekend’s queues at Dover are wholly a French problem.
Queues for you through Vienna are acceptable. We would rather have a free UK than your convenience in foreign airports.

Who is suffering, us or the French? That makes it our problem, not theirs.

Like their other problem, illegal migrants camping in Calais, the French are always happy to push their problems our way. Do you think they work on the principle of a problem shared is a problem halved?

How is any of this relevant to what I posted?

It’s curiously  fortunate how your friends show up when you have a need for them:

I think they work on the principal that a problem isn’t a problem if you can get rid of it.

You wanted to know how the French problems of not turning into work, still applying covid pass checks and system glitches have impacts on our side of the border.

I think we've notice that, also in their getting rid of illegal migrants.

Yes, on the way to Rwanda

All 200 of them.

Rwanda farce: Kigali admits it has space for just 200 migrants as UK forks out £120m bill

RWANDA can currently only accommodate a maximum of 200 migrants sent from the UK, Kigali admitted today.
