webfact
Picture: INN INN reported that the Bangkok authorities - and the new mayor in particular - are focusing their attentions on particulate matter in the air. The so called PM2.5 has been a perennial problem in the Thai capital with residents masked up to prevent lung problems well before the pandemic ever hit. At the latest crisis meeting Chadchart Sittipunt stressed the need to focus attention on pollution caused by factories and construction sites. Orders will be issued from October to stop black smoke belching trucks from carrying earth and sand and causing particulate pollution. A committee has been formed to sort this out. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-07-26 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Sure, might as well wait until October. They've been promising a crackdown on smoke-belching vehicles regularly for almost 30 years now, so a few more months shouldn't matter ????

Aussieroaming
Let's divert the public's attention to construction pollution so that we can conveniently look the other way in regards to the thousands of belching BMTA buses that blight the Bangkok air 24/7. Do it right Chatchart, clean up the BMA's own pollution mess and therefore lead by example and not by exception.

Another lame attempt to apportion blame in the wrong place as the vast majority of Bangkok's buses have been fueled with NGV for years, not diesel which is responsible for black smoke!
