OneMoreFarang
What are these things called in Thailand (in English or Thai)? Basically I look for the opposite of a bolt anchor in concrete. With a bolt anchor the bolt is sticking out of the wall or floor. What I want is a threaded hole in the floor or wall where I can attach something. And if I don't attach anything anymore then I don't want to have bolts sticking out of the floor. Mainly I want to use them in concrete. But I am also interested in a version for brick walls - if they exist. I have no idea of the names. I found on the internet something like this: female anchor, female drop in anchors, drop in concrete masonry anchors Edited July 29, 2022 by OneMoreFarang

We used to call them a right pain in the butt. Only place they worked was in overhead concrete where the concrete dust from the drilling process fell out and left a clean hole. Otherwise, used in a floor, the dust left behind in the bored hole gets thrown up into the thread as one puts the piece in place. Result is, thread engages until it hits the dust in the thread, jams and spins the whole caboodle ....cannot get the things in or out. Far better to used standard ramset bolt as below. Or, if you like perhaps Anka Screws. Edited August 1, 2022 by bluejets
phetphet
Its been a long while since I used them, but I think we used to call them Hilti drop in anchors. That was the name of the manufacturer of both the anchors and the drill and drill bits though. https://www.hilti.co.th/content/dam/documents/a2/th/catalog-2018-2019/6.1 Chemical Anchor.pdf

First I will try a dust collector. When I watched the video above I thought it is interesting to see how meticulous they clean those holes. It's good to know that that is very important. I will use the bolts if it doesn't matter if the bolt are out and not used, i.e. in the ceiling. But in other places, i.e. in the floor, I don't want any bolts sticking out. I bought these a few days ago and they arrived already. First impression: good. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i2522078619-s8960833216.html
