Visa exempt 45 or 30 days?

Recommended Posts

I thought that a visa exempt nowadays was 45 days instead of 30 days when arriving by air if you are in the category "tourist visa exemption scheme"? Is this correct?

And how many times can a visa exempt be extended, only once for 30 days?

What is the difference between visa exempt and tourist visa exempt ( I am Australian so get 30 day on arrival)?

how tourist visa 30 day on arrival are you allowed a year , can they be extended a further 30 days (entry ‘exit via airport )

There is no difference. They are the same and correct wording is a visa exempt entry.

There is no limit for visa exempt entries by air. By land they are limited to 2 per calendar year.

You can extend a 30 day visa exempt entry for a 30 days at a immigration office.

While there is no limit on visa exempt entry via air if you were just to exit Thailand and reenter via air ongoing then immigration would eventually have an issue.

More so if the time spent out of Thailand is very short.

If married to a Thai, could the 30 day visa exempt entry be extended for 60 days (instead of 30 days) for the purpose of seeing Thai family?

You can obtain 30 extension to visa exempt entry AND also obtain 60 day extension to visit wife.
