Popular Post moskito Posted August 14, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 14, 2022 Are ALL people consumed Canabis and having it in their pockets out of jail in Thailand already? Just a question. . I see really strong Canna Buds EVERYWHERE now from a small shop in TESCO Phuket to a Food for Foreigner shop. They are selling the really strong stuff and this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with CBD anymore or using it for health reasons. Its a drug and it should be banned to use in public, specially when people riding motorcycles or driving a car and to be honest, i dont belive they all take Taxis/TukTuks from now on. ???? . Phukets roads are dangerous enough and we all know there are plenty of ppl driving with alcohol in their bloodstream, I dont need half the world coming to Thailand and think they can have a joint after the other and causing accidents because obviously nobody in our government gives a rats anymore. . I use Canabis sometimes for medical reasons like tea, but dont tell me you are taking care of your health when you are mixing it with tobaco and smoke it! I smoked hardcore from the age of 16 until 25 and it did nothing good. Its making lazy and stupid, the only good thing is, people dont realize it because they are living in a dream world. The best drug is a drug free head! . When the government allowed Canabis, they was talking about MEDICAL Canabis CBD. The Canabis they are selling here are genetically enhanced strains, not created for medical reasons 1 1 4

moskito Posted August 14, 2022 Author Posted August 14, 2022 i guess most ppl even dont know about the rules ????Rules about Canabis in Thailand by TAT . here the TAT text again from July 14th 2022 Bangkok, 14 July, 2022 – Tourists visiting Thailand should make sure they are familiar with the rules and regulations concerning the use and possession of marijuana and hemp in the kingdom, following the decriminalisation of cannabis by the Thai government on 9 June, 2022. Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health has designated marijuana and hemp as controlled plants, legalising cannabis with the aim of promoting it for medical and health purposes, and limiting its possession and use to people aged 20 years and above (unless they have permission from a doctor). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) removed cannabis with extracts containing no more than 0.2 percent by weight of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) from its banned narcotics list. Extracts containing over 0.2 percent of THC are still illegal in Thailand. THC is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana. Importantly, it must be noted that smoking of cannabis in public is forbidden. The penalty for this is a potential three-month jail sentence and 25,000 Baht fine. The new cannabis policies permit production and consumption solely for medical or health-related reasons; not recreational purposes. The importation of products containing cannabis and hemp extracts, and hemp derived products, as well as any parts of cannabis and hemp, into Thailand is illegal. Households are able to cultivate plants at home with the registration on the designated application, and companies can also farm the plant with a permit. The Royal Thai Government places the highest priority on the safety and well-being of every visitor to Thailand. As the main government agency responsible for the promotion and marketing of Thailand as a preferred destination, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is working closely with all the concerned public and private organisations to ensure the utmost efforts to prevent any unfortunate incidents occurring on tourists and the local Thai people. 1

Just a question. Yes, released already. There was even talk of returning some 16 tonnes of cannabis siezed by the police. Do you have any other questions, while we're here standing on your lawn? I think you are a bit behind in current events. Cannabis flowers are legal to produce, sell and consume, with no THC limits. Extracts are illegal, as is importing cannabis. Smoking in public is discouraged, and can be illegal if you're annoying people. Sales/use are prohibited for under 20 YO, and for lactating women. If you have further concerns maybe touch base with the police. They should be able to address your issues. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. 1 3 3

You can do it in the privacy of your own space. In other words, away from people. Yes, one can get a license to import seeds. This license seems straightforward to apply for, quite a few Thais have posted this license, along with their licenses to sell cannabis. And yes, there appears to be a loophole to import cannabis for “research” purposes, and this does require a special license/approval. This is being exploited by influential people. There is a LOT of cannabis from the U.S being sold here, openly, marketed as being from the U.S. AFAIK, it is ILLEGAL to export cannabis from the U.S. to any countries, including Thailand. In the U.S. you cannot even move cannabis across state lines as states have strict seed to sale laws. Just saw a news article on the Cannabis Control Act legislation, where it mentions that...Section 28 "...selling and advertising cannabis and cannabis-based products online and in vending machines will be prohibited, according to a bill on cannabis and hemp use" Selling equipment to smoke cannabis will also be illegal. Seppius Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 By the looks of today's (Sunday 28th) Bangkok post, some pretty harsh new laws coming in soon, that will close down all these places selling weed that are opening up

The Cannabis and Hemp Act is progressing in Parliament with a second reading coming soon. I've seen summaries, but not the complete current draft, said to have ~ 103 sections. Right now I'd say that recreational/personal use will not be made illegal. But production, sales and use will be tightly controlled. Many articles, in the Thai press mention that cannabis will be controlled like alcohol and tobacco. Anyone selling cannabis must be licensed. On-line sales may end up being illegal. Assuming this Act is passed and gazetted, it is but a first step. Many governmental organizations will have a subsequent say on controls, rules.regulations and punishments. And the Cannabis Board, chaired by Anutin, with some 24 members, will have final say on most if not all matters. I don't think any of us know how things will land near term and long term. Maybe a bit like prostitution-allowed to exist, alcohol and tobacco-tightly controlled? 2

LuckyG Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 (edited) Yeah but who is really measuring the THC in the buds being sold? The label may say 24% THC but come on...... I asked one shop, "how do you know the THC level"? He said, "oh, you can just go online and look up the strain". I believe what is being sold in most shops is VERY LOW THC/CBD flower (and the public is getting taken for a big ride)........at least that has been my experience from multiple disappointing purchases.
