Because that crowd's sole intent at the full moon party was to get spaced out on alcohol and/or drugs. Whereas the emergency decree banning such crowds was primarily aimed at protecting the government + others from thousands of protesters in Bangkok and hence publicising to the world exactly what thousands of people in Thailand actually think of them. 2 2 1
phetphet Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 "Marine officials inspected the pier to ensure safety and prevent any over-fee pricing for speed boats." Do they do that every month? Or only when some bigwig is visiting? 2

Not all "Mass Gatherings" are equal. Mass gathering of tourists - OK! Mass gathering of protesters - Prison! This is the new hallmark of 'democracy.' 1
