In fact its only a rare occurance that you see anyone wearing one. UK infection rates are falling and have been for the last month. In fact I cant remember the last time I heard anyone in the UK speak of Covid. My Thai wife is here with me and also does not wear a mask. When we return to Thailand in October if it is compulsory of course I will wear one, if not I have no intention of doing so even if everyone else is wearing one. Neighbor next door to us has had covid 3 times, unvaccinated, Chinese Thai. 1st time hospitalized for almost 3 weeks, second time he was taken by an ambulance and the next day returned with a private nurse, and then just last week his daughter knocked on the door, and told us he had tested positive and would be isolating again. The man is always going to the night-clubs and is somewhat of a playboy. Good thing he works from home running his import export business I guess. He has refused to wear a mask, even though it is mandated by the Juristic committee for wearing in all common areas as well as lifts, the wearing of a mask is posted in all lifts as well as on all floors. The juristic manager has fined him numerous times, he just pays the fine. The same for his smoking, he smokes in the hallway and right under the sign that says no smoking. We stay clear of him. We have had it one time, and it put us down for almost 3 weeks, loss of smell and taste with some other issues after the main symptoms went away. In most of Europe masks were gone months ago.
