Former MP calls for inquiry into case of senator's "mistress" who allegedly abused employee

Thai Rath reported on developments in the case against a woman in the police with military connections who is in a relationship with a senator.

ASEAN NOW reported last week that an employee of the woman had gone to the police to report a litany of cruel and barbaric treatment including electric shocks.

This happened over several years.

Now the Thai media are suggesting that the employer is the "gik" or mia noi (mistress) of a senator in the House.

Yesterday former democrat MP Watchara Petchthong presented a complaint box to the Senate President Pornpetch Wichitchonchai that demanded an end to parliamentary privilege for the senator concerned.

Watchara wanted a committee set up to investigate whether the senator had misued his position to interfere with the issuing of military or police promotions.

He wanted this resolved in the next 15 days.

He also wanted to know if the senator was involved in his mistress's alleged wrongdoings.

The mistress has the position of police corporal.

Earlier it was claimed that this woman had used her connections to secure a military position for the alleged victim of the abuse.

He used his position to give his bit of fluff a lowly job. It's not like he made the family pet goldfish the chief of the Navy or anything similar.

This is how some of Thai high society smells like.

And there's many more 'configurations'.

Like; wealthy man pays big money for his hi-so ignorant naive, rude daughter to get her Ph.D.

She submitted her disitation and it passed on the first round.

Disitation was about a new never seen before method of changing the A4 size plastic slides, by hand, on an old style overhead projector.

This was about 30 years after this technology was totally shelved, the world already well converted to using PowerPoint and other computer based technologies to make and to display lectures etc., etc.

No further comment needed.

People trying to make themselves look important by rocking the boat... sometimes backfires.
