webfact Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Four undocumented migrant workers from Myanmar were killed and nine others injured when a pickup truck in which they were travelling ploughed into a roadside ditch and overturned near the Thai-Myanmar border in Sangkhla Buri district, of the western province of Kanchanaburi, early this morning (Sunday). Nine others were injured and were taken to Sangkhla Buri district hospital. Witnesses claim they saw two men run away from the scene of the accident, one of them is believed to have been the driver of the ill-fated vehicle. Katipo Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 That stretch of road is relatively safe, being without the sharp curves of the Thong Pa Phum - Sangklaburi part. I am not suggesting the driver was at fault, but the driver was probably at fault. RIP to the victims, who no doubt came to Thailand to provide a better life for their families' back home. 1 1
brianthainess Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 I have no doubt it was a Thai Driver again, killing migrant workers, how many is that, this year alone ? 25+ ?

PETERTHEEATER Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 Fifteen in a pickup truck makes a mockery of the implementation of rules governing seat belts and passenger numbers in this type of vehicle.
Stargeezr Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Yup 13 people in a pickup, sound like a Thailand accident to me. RIP to the poor people who died.
