No fears growing on my part.   Everything Trump touches fails and his bills never get paid.   His supporters bought an Orange  and got a Lemon.   It was ever thus.

  • In a new post on his Truth Social platform, Trump seemingly reacted to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's revelations that the FBI asked his company to watch out for Russian disinformation being spread on

  • This thread is supposed to be about the possible demise of Trump's social media company NOT about BIDEN etc. Any chance of staying on topic!

Truth Social(TS) the most mismanaged technology company in history, launched in Feb 2021 ...has only been available on Apple devices. but.....Most of the MAGA people I know use Android. (I think they consider Apple Woke, no?)

Finally TS managed to develop their platform for Android use & launched on August 19 2022.

BUT......Truth Social app still not approved & available on Google Play Store due to insufficient content moderation. Google notified Truth Social of several violations of policy such as physical threats & inciting violence.

“When are we going to be available on Android?” Nunes said. “Well, look, that’s up to the Google Play Store. I mean, we’re waiting on them to approve us, and I don’t know what’s taking so long.”

Edited by LarrySR

The Honorable Devin Nunes is the CEO.

Trump and Ka$h Patel were removed from the board last month.

Think they're, (TruthSocial) in legal hot water.

Trump went a bit whacko on TS yesterday, he may not be well.

Trump shares barrage of QAnon content and other conspiracy theories on his social media platform

Facing numerous investigations, Trump shared posts promoting conspiracy theories, some of them from the account that originated QAnon, as well as a fake quote from his daughter.

disclaimer: article is 2 years old.

On Friday, Steven Biss, the attorney of California Republican Representative Devin Nunes, said that he and his client are "at a dead end" after a judge threw out their subpoena to discover the identity of a Twitter user who publishes unflattering media about Nunes under the guise of "Devin Nunes' Cow."

In March 2019, Nunes filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against two parody Twitter accounts: one claiming to be written by his mother and another claiming to be written by a cow from his family's dairy farm. Nunes said the "cow" conspired to damage his re-election chances.

Very convenient for him as he just shared what others are claiming. Same tactic as "I've been told....", "people say..."

As outlandish and nutty as this sounds, some in MAGA world will latch on to this and think of it as a legitimate claim.  I pity these poor souls.

From the link given.

quote "Trump continued: "REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!"

Dear Mr ex-president Trump.

It may have escaped your notice but the rightful winner WAS Declared on January 6 2021.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election#:~:text=Biden ultimately received the majority,votes%2C while Trump received 232.

It was, and still is President Joe Biden who beat you in the electoral college vote by a majority in the Electoral College with 306 electoral votes, while Trump received 232.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election

Popular vote    81,268,924[3]    74,216,154[3]

                               Biden                  Trump

Percentage            51.3%                   46.9%

Now even the simplest of posters on ASEAN Now can add and subtract even using the calculators on their pc, mobile or tablet. Using these figures which are freely available on the internet along with non MSM sites it is reasonable to assume that Trump LOST.

I feel sad for those people including those on this site who cannot accept those figures. If the US and the majority of the world (including Thailand), even Russia and China can accept this, why can Trump and his supporters NOT accept the truth?

Are they so deep in denial that only ex-president Trump's words have true meaning to them?

I do have a quibble about the title of this thread:

"Fears grow Trump's Truth Social is headed for bankruptcy as bills pile up: report"

I'm not afraid at all. in fact, I'm rather looking forward to it. I do wonder why Trump's supporters haven't flocked to the site. I suppose because they can't troll each other. Which is why Twitter is so enticing to them.

Be sure you're sitting comfortably before reading on.

"I would rather have [Biden] succeed incredibly, even if it meant a much tougher [election] and maybe even a loss," Trump told Hannity, adding that he is in favor of what's best for the country.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/donald-trump-s-latest-comments-on-joe-biden-will-take-you-by-surprise/ar-AA12cFo8?cvid=c300c4f952614975a6b7935ec1a11ef4

Of course, we can't be sure which particular country he means.  What's best for the country  could mean anything.

You can tell things aren't going well beneath the orange mop.  He's resorting to bringing up the already tired tropes, like the FBI raiding his beach resort looking for Hillary emails.

Strictly IMO, at this point there is a possibility all this document stuff could lead to an espionage case, and he knows it.

The other day he prefaced the "maybe the FBI thought they would find the Hillary emails" at his beach club with "A lot of people are saying . . .. "  I have yet to hear any news personality call him on one of these, with the question "who exactly said this?"  I think the only one daring enough  to do it would be Mehdi Hassan, but I don't think his bosses would like it.

It's truly bizarre that Truth Social is supposed be dedicated to free speech yet it's headed by a guy who has posted a truly impressive number of failed defamation lawsuits. Because, you know, free speech...

Hey, come on now, that cow was very very rude to do that!  :cheesy:

FYI in Spanish language hope and wait are the same word.

After 9/11 USPS started keeping a database of addresses that were mailbox services.  I've used such things for years, and then one day I got a note from a credit card issuer I applied with telling me I needed to give a legit address, even if I preferred to get my mail at a box.  You would think someone who (supposedly) owns so much real estate would be able come up with a less obvious address.  "I have a very good mind!"

Jared owns a building across the street from DT tower, at 666 Fifth Avenue.  Great address for a fake conservative.

It is funny, sure.

But he will NEVER be broke like a falang in Thailand.  NEVER.  EVER.  Not possible.

Let's say he loses EVERYTHING.  Zero.  His entire family Zero.

Remember 150,000,000 in America ALONE might have voted for him, with other fans worldwide.

Books, easy 30 million USD.  Family writes book.  Another 10 million.

Speaking, 10 million.  Maybe 50 million.

Sure, he won't be mega-mega-rich, but he will NEVER be poor like a falang in Pattaya.

he will get the last laugh.    Imagine his power and connections versus all the bar girls you know on Soi 7.

not same same

"Remember 150,000,000 in America ALONE might have voted for him, with other fans worldwide."

This is an amazing number when you consider that the total vote in the 2020 election was about 155.5 million. Does that mean that Biden only got about 5.5 million votes? This speaks to an astonishing level of election fraud not even posited by Trump. Well, at least not yet.

And what does any of this hero-worship have to do with the ongoing financial disaster that is Truth Social?

Well, your comment is certainly no less relevant than iamfalang's.

True, the whole subject is pretty irrelevant. Does it matter whether POTUS 45 has a social media app or not?  Just like so many other ventures he was involved in they go bankrupt.  This one is likely going to be no different

However, the revamped Generals never played a down. The 1986 season was cancelled after the USFL won only a nominal one dollar verdict in an antitrust lawsuit against the NFL (which was trebled to three dollars due to it being an antitrust suit); the league folded soon afterward

ooops "Despite the success that the races had, Trump reeled back because of the Trump Organization's financial issues at the time."

I think this is the significant sentence in that article:

"It became one of the many projects he's lent his name to and made money from, even without hands-on involvement."

Back then Trump's endorsement was still on balance positive. Not so much anymore.

Trump Product Endorsements Drive Consumers...Away

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/trump-product-endorsements-drive-consumers-away-n744301

Some time ago, around the early 2000s, someone built a development just outside NYC, condos and offices.  He was having trouble getting people interested.  After a while he came up with the idea of getting DT to attach his name to it, paid him a million dollars.  And the units sold like hotcakes.  A friend from the area told me about it back when.  This is the place:

Westchester condo complex dumps Trump name

I don't think there any doubt, with himself included, that going into politics was the worst decision of his life.
